A SANGHA UPDATE:
Sangha member facilitated study and practice meetings take place at on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
We will not be meeting during the month of August, but will resume in September.

**The Nikaya texts of the Pali Canon form the core and one of the earliest recorded teachings of the Buddha. While more contemporary Buddhist literature and teachings will be included, the focus of the study will be on these core teachings.
Information about the
Tuesday evening meditation schedule*~~
A brief teaching related to an aspect of the Dhamma (core teachings of Buddhism) is offered followed by insight (vipassana) meditation practice (45 minutes) and discussion.
Brahma-vihāra meditation, focusing on one of the four Brahma-vihāras ("divine abodes/abidings": loving-kindness, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity) is offered once a month, usually the 3rd Tuesday of each month. We will rotate through the Brahma-vihāras throughout the year, returning to each three times.

so, don't hesitate to come if you are new to meditation.
